i came to visit my aunt who just moved to boise from california and i‘ve enjoyed it here. i was concerned i wouldn’t enjoy it but i’ve been to some cool places such as flick’s movie theater, slick rock cafe for great matcha, record exchange which is a record store with a cafe and photo booth that takes awesome picture, the downtown library where i checked out some books and made a origami frog, and the flea market at the bsu stadium parking lot which had a great selection of clothes and antiques. i leave thursday morning and i can say i’ve had an amazing trip so if you live in boise or find yourself out here these are things i would recommend. first pic is a flea market find, second is flick’s inside their collection of dvds you can rent, third are my library books and frog origami.

My friends and I got takeout from Little Miner Taco (some of the best birria I’ve had) about 10 minutes away from there and ate in the huge Columns. There‘s a lot to see there and a Bonsai Garden and woods to explore. You can also rent bikes and go down some of the paths. Definitely a good way to spend the day. Hiraya is a new Filipino restaurant that just opened and everything there is delicious. (I got their pork belly and an espresso martini) The first floor is a breakfast cafe with a huge bakery selection and they turn over to dinner service on the second floor. They have a lot of cool cocktails and there’s some pretty cool bars around them too. Also this one’s kinda obvious but there’s this app called TickPick, basically stubhub for last min tickets and I saw Maya Hawke and Raffaella at 9:30 Club for $12 not knowing either of their music and ended up having a great time so always worth checking if any artist catches your interest.

i’ve always been a causal basketball enjoyer, finding the game interesting but not having a favorite team or keeping up closely with the game. this year however, i started watching more games and found myself immersed in the playoffs. even hardcore fans have called this run one of the best playoffs they’ve seen recently so as we’ve reached the final 4 (minnesota timberwolves and oklahoma city in the west; indiana pacers and new york knicks in the east.) seeing as none of these teams have seen recent success and their star players have never watch a championship, all the teams are eager to make it to the final. i recommend watching the playoffs and seeing which one of these teams will win the championship and being glory to their city.
