Spent around half of my visit to a gallery/museum today doing the activity sheets aimed at kids and had a lovely time would highly recommend it. Like I want to draw some pictures and write about stuff too.

Going to an art gallery is such a fun (and often free) day out. It's a great way to get inspiration of different ways to create from painting to photography and sculptures. One of my favourite parts is reading the description to learn about the people in the historical paintings and piecing them together with my knowledge of that historical time period. It's also a nice calm environment to be in so it's nice to just wonder around and catch up with a friend.

⭐I recently went to a workshop by an collective called simka. we took a 45 minute walk in complete silence and then had to draw or write about our walking experience. people drew some really cool stuff and wrote beautifully. since then, whenever I take a walk I make a note in my notes app of how I felt or what I thought about during the walk. or I draw. the other day I drew a tree I saw while walking. during the workshop I wrote about primordial forms and drew the patterns I saw in the ground. I already love drawing, so doing this really makes my day.

This is my new favourite kind of crochet project. It's great for using up small balls of yarn/scraps and they can be relatively quick projects if you keep them small (the apple one is 17x47, the bow one is 20x20, the swan one is 24x27 stitches) so if you get bored with projects quickly it's a good choice. There are so many different grids you can find I get mine off Pinterest. Since my pieces are very small I think I'm going to sew them all together plus more to create a pillow case, but there are so many other things you can with with this technique like framing them or using this style of colour work in a larger piece like a jumper.
