i live at this sunny coastal city and i rarely go to the beach.
went to the beach today with a friend, emerged into the warm salty water and asked myself why i don't enjoy more the best thing this city has to offer me: sunsets and the sea.
i'm a busy person etc etc, but i can't waste my entire week at an office and my own home office.
that's my sunday thought
I moved to LA from NY a few years ago, and I gotta say if you aren’t going to the beach you're an idiot! Most of us are an hour drive from some of the most beautiful beaches in the world! I hit all the beaches - and will even drive out to Laguna - IDGAF. I love going into the ocean, it makes me feel alive. When the water's calm I like to float and let my mind wander. I’ve come up with some of my best ideas out there. I also have been tumbled by some really strong waves - scary stuff - gotta respect the tide. The sun and the ocean really help me feel alive. If I’m bummed and I go to the beach, the next day I always feel better. It’s magic - we are a species that needs sun! Buy an umbrella if you don’t like the sun and just stare at the ocean. It’s beautiful. I’ve seen dolphins and whales many times in California. Bring a cooler and throw out your trash. Sorry to be such an environmentalist.
decided to go to the beach with my mom and siblings today when i woke up. i had initially told them i wasn’t interested in going (i still live at home and have spent all my life with them so i admittedly wanted a break). but i remembered life is short and time and how it’s spent is not promised…also i have not been to the beach in a while. so, on a whim, i decided to suck it up. i should be appreciative of the life i have while i have it. maybe i’ll find some sea glass and pretty shells :)
every two weeks there's an organic street market near my work and i always get fruits, eggs and vegatables. today i got watermelon, oranges, tomatoes, onions, garlic, leek, eggs and banana chips.
