ALSO it's not explicitly gay but pee-wee's big adventure was written directed and starred in by a gay man and pee-wee himself repeatedly expresses total disinterest in the girl who has a crush on him and generally has a fantastic time being unapologetically himself and being totally accepted by everyone despite his eccentricities. i consider that enough to make it gay rep for me personally! and pee-wee's big holiday has a whole storyline with pee-wee basically having a crush on joe manganiello and it culminates with them exchanging friendship bracelets and sharing root beer barrels in pee-wee's tree house, which is really cute.

i actually don’t think i have a singular favorite queer movie but i’m recing pride since it is lesser-known (despite having a great cast!). it’s based on a true story and highlights a beautiful intersection of the labor and gay lib movements! when i went to london i visited the bookstore from the film (gay’s the word).
bound is also a favorite of mine! :) i recently watched saving face and loved that one too. the incredibly true adventures of two girls in love (which i have rec’d before) is also a favorite. bodies bodies bodies, bottoms, jennifer’s body, and but i’m a cheerleader as well!

cute and is based off of a true story of when london gay activists supported welsh miners on strike! the main characters are mostly gay (and a few lesbians!!) :) it’s one of my fav movies (i linked the trailer but it doesn’t do it justice)

best thing you can do for yourself is become extremely comfortable with being alone and doing stuff by yourself. at a young age i forced myself to get comfortable with that and now it's my default state-- i LOVE doing stuff by myself. my coworker is a person who literally cannot go places by herself and i have been trying to help her get more comfortable doing things solo because it's very freeing. everyone should be happy to go do stuff by themselves, it's lovely!

i will never get over polyvore shutting down. i used it obsessively and had hundreds of outfits made on it and mine were ARTFUL not like the stuff people say they saw on wattpad with like skinny jeans and converse and shit like mine were gorgeous. and then they shut down and i wasn't able to back up any of my stuff so i lost it all. HEARTBREAKINGGGGG
