best thing you can do for yourself is become extremely comfortable with being alone and doing stuff by yourself. at a young age i forced myself to get comfortable with that and now it's my default state-- i LOVE doing stuff by myself. my coworker is a person who literally cannot go places by herself and i have been trying to help her get more comfortable doing things solo because it's very freeing. everyone should be happy to go do stuff by themselves, it's lovely!

I went to Paris for the month of Jan all by myself. It was amazing. I got to do all the things I like without compromise. The best was I got to know myself again, the core of me, away from the people with expectations and preconceived notions. People I love, but frankly people with their own agenda.

I need to work on being better at going to do things with other people, especially being the person to initiate and ask someone to do something

@DRACULA it comes in such extreme waves; there are times when I’m so looking forward to doing something alone and I’m happily turning down plans that interfere, and now I’m back in this place where I’m just dying to be included, when I’m right here and I belong.

i started going to the cinema by myself last year and its the best thing ever. I dont know why it scared me so much to do things alone, however doing things solo actually made my social anxiety better. I love just hanging out by myself now; going to the cinema; a nature walk; solo study date at a cafe. Doing things alone will heal something in you

always appreciate a body double / accountability partner / experience share-r but learning to be "on" for myself and when someone else isn't there to do [x] with me is so liberating. i've started / finished so many more projects, it's incredible "shower thoughts" time to grab a coffee solo, and being with other people is more enjoyable because doesn't have to be our "us-time" and my "me-time"

I often times rely on people to entertain me, or rely on them to go out and do things, which is rly bad, so I want to start being alone more and be more selfsufficient and rely on myself more. I've slowly already started this and i'm quite happy with how much better i've been :)

i will never get over polyvore shutting down. i used it obsessively and had hundreds of outfits made on it and mine were ARTFUL not like the stuff people say they saw on wattpad with like skinny jeans and converse and shit like mine were gorgeous. and then they shut down and i wasn't able to back up any of my stuff so i lost it all. HEARTBREAKINGGGGG

shirkers: in the 90s, after emptying their life savings to make a feature film, a group of young women are shocked when the director disappears with the footage. 25 years later, one of them finally tracks it down. finding frances: nathan fielder helps a frequent collaborator track down his long lost first love. tickled: a kiwi journalist stumbles upon an odd subculture on the internet, and the more he digs, the more threats he receives, obviously prompting him to look into it more.
