most artists have newsletters you can sign up for on their website, you hear abt things early and sometimes you get fun personal stories (like the one abt swimming from glass animals attached to this). i have them sorted w tags in my email too so i can see them all at once
i also use bandcamp and bandsintown but not as often tbh
