i‘m back bitches i’ve lived in london for like a year now, i’m in south, and this place kinda weird like nobody talks to anyone new in public unless really drunk, they want to sleep with you, an act of god has occurred thus forcing public cooperation, or they like your clothes. part of this prob has to do with my lens but i feel like most people i talk to agree to a level, like mutuals get you everywhere and without them it can be rough anyway yeah basically everyone i know here is from hinge or i know through someone i know from hinge and i’m not close enough to them to hang out without other friend. so knowing people from another context would be cool

such a wonderful feeling when i get to talk to someone who's been on my periphery for so long. its so odd how i constantly convince myself that some people are "too cool" for me to be friends with, but its such a pleasant surprise to really connect and get to know those types of people for who they really are.

Its silly goofy if I meet someone that lives/is from a city or area someone I know is from I WILL assume that y’all know each other Makes me feel like an old person being shown a pic from ig going “oh is that a friend you met at school?” I think it’s cause I grew up in an area where families were BIG and there was always an inevitable great aunt that used to babysit my best friends younger 2nd cousin kinda thing It’s allllllllll connected somehow 🌝

I’m not off streaming, but these are some things I do to feel the fun in movies/music again and diverge. I’ve always kinda been a CD supremacist and saved/kept buying them, it’s never too late to start, for any medium! - investing in some equipment like DVD, CD, cassette, etc players if you don’t have the old ones to dig out, or they’re too messed up. A decent DVD player is super inexpensive these days, avoid internet nostalgia up-sellers - going to any random thrift store, including the “bad ones”, and really going through their book/CD/DVD inventory THOROUGHLY. Pick up what looks interesting, it’s likely something you already have in your digital library will be there for cheap and to own forever. - patronizing remaining movie stores, they can be few and far between but the people who run them are usually very passionate about film. If you have one within a reasonable distance from you, it feels great to take a DVD back they recommended you or a familiar classic. Going to the movie store can be so fun and is something we’ve been deprived of since DVD’s decline. Same for music shops - exploring obsolete mediums, if you end up getting a VCR you can find tapes for super duper cheap and watch a lot of movies and expand your library fast! - movie or music or medium specific swaps if they’re in ur area, or trade with fellow enthusiasts anywhere you can find them, even online movie clubs

I went to an incense making class earlier this year for my birthday, it’s super easy and makko powder is basically the ONLY thing you need to buy to make incense at home. It‘s pretty cheap and lasts a while, you can get it on amazon. All you need to make incense is equal parts makko powder, your dried+pulverized herbs/flowers/etc, and water (give or take on the water, use your intuition). And boom, you have incense “dough” that you can now shape into cones, dry, and burn. I’ve been making incense with what I can find around me, natives and invasive plants. It’s awesome and I totally recommend it. Making incense makes me feel like the computer energy is leaving my body. (pic is of the class incense set up)

He passed in May, he was 11 years old. His name is Bear/Tarzan. It broke me. I always thought this was one of my favorite pictures of him, I’m really glad I had it saved somewhere else because I took it a while back. I was so happy to find it I cried. I want to get this picture tattooed one day. I miss my big gorgeous angel boy so so so much. <3
