Yesssss this is so good. I love doing things like this to trick myself into using it. Protip - packing tape makes great collage notebook sealant to keep everything in place in your bag

sometimes i don’t wanna carry a book if i don’t wanna be carrying too much, but i still want to have something with me that can stimulate my brain that isn’t my phone. and you don’t even have to always be writing in it – you can draw, read what it is you’ve written so far, or even use it as a little scrapbook to collect the day’s memories! and for some extra fun, you should decorate your notebook with whatever feels good to you, like stickers, markers, pastels, a little collage… anything!

seriously! like put on some background music and just sit there with your thoughts. see what comes up. draw weird doodles, make a world for them, sing to them, whatever. just be weird and bored. to go directly against what i just said, i have a small pocket notebook i collect quotes/thoughts/jokes/poems/etc that i enjoy, and i go through it sometimes instead of scrolling. it takes a little time to get it to a point where it's useable like that, but it's worth it! bonus points if you print photos out and put them in too, make it like an inspiration notebook.

Get a new notebook, doesn’t matter that you have several you haven’t written in. Get it and add it to the pile.
