even though i've been learning french for 4 years my listening comprehension is still abysmal so i appreciate a podcast where i can actually comprehend all of the words being said
I must admit that at first I didn’t enjoy my French class (le prof parle trop lentement), but it’s starting to grow on me! I’ve adopted the mindset that learning does not have to be the fast, competitive process I experienced at school. Language comes slowly and there is something to learn from everyone.
tv shows!!! i can't stress this enough, watching people engage in the language helps so much. after doing french for years and graduating with a delf b2, i give all credit to the fact that i was put in an immersive environment where french was always spoken around me. you can start with children's shows like Téléfrançais, and then move to your favourite show dubbed etc. that being said, nothing beats talking in french...so if all else fails, meet some french speakers to chat with, or maybe temporarily move to france 😄
i wish you the best of luck!
suggested to a friend i haven't seen in months that we should go see superman this weekend. he instead asks to go see JURASSIC WORLD at ELEVEN AM on a TUESDAY. i agree because i really just want to see him. he cancels one hour before he was supposed to come pick me up 💀 ts pmo
i was in washington DC last month and the whole time i was in awe of how much art and history and science and culture you could just go and experience completely for free. i paid $0 to go in look at this beautiful painting that could’ve been sold to some rich guy for a jillion dollars instead. i often feel like everything is out to squeeze everything out of me that it can so i really value that we have things that exist just to enrich our minds and souls
