I believe that, in order to learn any language, you have to explore things that will help you diversify your vocabulary and not just things that involve basic conversation. She explains a bunch of concepts in relation to her field. I find it useful to also get use to hearing French, even when you don't understand all of it at once.
even though i've been learning french for 4 years my listening comprehension is still abysmal so i appreciate a podcast where i can actually comprehend all of the words being said
