i have been consciously trying to do things more slowly, things that encourage slowness and hanging out, noticing, etc. the frenetic pace we’re all encouraged to keep up is defeating and i don’t like how quickly it makes my days go. i’m doing something the inefficient way today!!!!!
I'm also in the process of learning to take things slowly. Having left a hectic workplace for a new job where goals are achieved over the very long term, I can already say that it will be a long learning curve. And that’s good.
almost like when a website or app buffers for a second n then immediately speeds up . i think day by day i take things fairly slow but i try not to turn down last-minute tasks / goals (i can lock in if need be) . but in overall i take my life pretty slowly and just focused on minute to minute , i can be super passionate on a day to day basis n i feel like that makes achieving my goals seem faster even if the process feels slow occasionally . idk if any of ts made sense lmao
The other day I watched a tiktok on how to easily de-seed a pomegranate and the person said “this should only take 3-4 minutes, there’s no need to be in a rush, why do you feel the need to do this in 45 seconds? are you that busy” and thats really stuck with me— you can just take it easy most of the time
