So I feel quite confident in my assessment of how these young gentlemen voted…it is a show about making knives, after all. But something about it is so entertaining. It has all the hallmarks of good casual viewing- 4 contestants per ep, interesting multi step goals with unrealistic time constraints, knowledgeable judges who destroy their work in a series of tests (let’s smash your blade against a rock several times and then see if it can still slice a pig carcass!), and a deeply hot host with the dumbest name you can think of (Wil Willis, in this case). I haven’t learned anything about forging a knife. I suppose you probably could from watching this show? but I’m honestly only in it for the dopamine hit of watching one of the judges say the words “eet‘ll keel”

idk why, but this show has captivated my boyfriend and it. we just want to see bobby lose, but fucker has a win rate of 62% (although of the 8 episodes we've watched, he's won them all). the format is numbingly repetitive, but there's something to be said about continued hope in the contestants eyes followed by hollow pain.

I’m not usually a competition show person but I’m loving this — Alan Cumming is transcendently good as the host, with his fancy Scottish outfits and bright blue reading glasses and DRAMA! This show also makes me think about the famous prison experiment where some people were cast as prisoners and some as guards and they literally had to end the experiment early because the guards got so power crazed and cruel. Don’t worry the Traitors does not reach close to that level of twisted, it’s just fascinating to watch the dynamics and strategic game play, and makes ya think. And it doesn’t hurt that it’s set in a literal castle.

i just think they are the best kept secret!! i bought a pound and a half at my local chinese grocery store for literally $2… threw them in with water, salt/pepper, and all my veg scraps and it made the most delicious homemade stock that sets almost like a jello bc the chicken feet are so high in collagen. i will use it to make soup dumplings soon i am so excited
