has taught me so much about like…faith and patience...& while caring for/harvesting plants, flowers and veggies has its own gradient of reward, this cursory lesson still hits every time imo. If you have access to even a friend‘s garden or somewhere to sow something you can check back in/care for I recommend it. Not exactly one of those ‘your garden is a revolutionary act’ types, but I do believe that there is a lot on offer in growing anything, starting with the alchemical-feeling activity of sprouting 1 seed into plant.

Grocery shopping at 11 PM feels like you’re part of an exclusive club. You will likely be one of only a few people there and they will be out of stock of everything you went for which will lead to trying something new!

Just take them. It’s not mean it’s actually very sweet and endearing to have a little token of them you can keep with you. Hats, t-shirts, socks, etc. Everything is up for grabs!

When I was 19, my friend introduced me to The Talking Heads. I hated them immediately. I loathed long rides in his car because it always meant we would be listening to some challenging avant-garde bs my underdeveloped brain wasn’t ready to appreciate. B always told me when I got older I would understand. He was correct.
