i grew up in a multicultural family in a country that was foreign to my parents. similar sayings didn‘t always have the same meaning, behaviors could be the total opposite but mean the same thing, what‘s considered rude in one culture could have been viewed as polite in another.
i think that i observed people very closely from an early age on - to make sense of them. i learned that there are different perspectives and that multiple truths can co-exist.
i became a psychotherapist lol

The human tendencies and psyche seems to change/ alter significantly post cancer diagnosis. As an onco-counselor, after working for almost a year with such patients, I've found astonishing & polarizing responses from different patients. It truly has made me question the willpower of humans in general.

This is a sort of a cult I was born into but still believe in. Psychoanalysis isn’t therapy and finding a good psychoanalyst is as hard as finding a good artist. Most of you who think you’ve gone to therapy have never been to Psychoanalysis. Analysis was fashionable, then it wasn’t, then it was... now my feeling is it’s no longer fashionable. No matter, it’s an advantage to have dipped your toes into the psychoanalytic waters. I don’t think it makes you “annoying” or “bad at art, or whatever" that’s a cope employed by people who are resistant to productive regression on the grand ole couch.

me and my friends organized a mario kart tournament in our local bar, invited a drag queen to host it (she was dressed like mario 😭) and we dj‘d in the background while people were all sitting by tables and watching the game. the crowd was super cute and friendly. the bar let us do our set design thingy so we had video art, flowers and different kinds of cozy lighting. one of our friend was playing a live set using his gear (synthesizers, drum machine etc) and samples from the mario world. he was epic. this was such a wholesome thing to organize, everyone seemed to have a sweet time and the bar staff constantly told us how cute they thought all of this came together. i really appreciate spaces that let artists do their thing and i love how everyone in the room felt united because of the game and the music. i dont really enjoy watching sports in bars but now i get it. its this feeling.
