Dozing off under the afternoon sun, dreaming of pleasant nonsenses whilst lying in odd positions, with no regard for the outrageous tan lines I shall wake up with. Nothing bad will happen because the Sun is watching over me - I feel her warm gaze on my shoulders and the back of my neck and the soles of my feet, April’s blessing. The odd breeze passes, as the tide laps the shore. It’s comforting. In this moment, my mind has been pacified, with nothing more than vague notions of summer and comforting nostalgia running through it.
