This does NOT taste like blueberries!!! Tastes like straight sugar! Not a single hint of blueberries! Literally tastes like cotton candy, like I may as well have just poured sugar on my tongue. There is the SLIGHTEST hint of what might be blue raspberry, but no blueberries :( If you like overly sweet drinks you might enjoy this. I mean it still was a sweet soda at the end of the day but not what I was hoping for. 4/10.
Rating; 9/10 Royal Crown Cola is a brand you don't see on the shelves much these days, but I've always appreciated the unique flavor profile their original cola contains.
Recently I've seen a lot of chatter online about this berries and cream version that's been showing up at gas stations and convenience stores across America, so when I ran into it myself, it was a no brainer.
Now, berry soda is hard to get right. I've seen Coke, Dr. Pepper, and Sprite (among others) fail to find a good way to integrate berry flavors into their drinks. They end up tasting artificial in a way that inspires thoughts of dumping chemicals on your tongue. Not good.
Royal Crown dunks on the mainstream sodas with their eyes closed by quietly putting this on shelves. It's the PERFECT berry soda. It tastes natural and links up nicely with the cola flavor. I'll admit I don't taste a lot of the "cream" mentioned in the name, but I'll take what I can get.
If you run into one of these, it comes highly recommended.
Rating; 5/10 Seeing Faygo on the west coast is really rare, so seeing this bad boy sitting in the same fridge as the RC Cola from my last review was another level of exciting.
Faygo started in Detroit in the early 20th century. It's a staple over there, so I needed to know what the hype was about.
My conclusion is simply that it does what it sets out to do. This very much is a cotton candy soda. Not any better than you'd imagine, but not unpleasant either. It's lacking a little bit of fizz, but I wonder if it's maybe just been sitting on a shelf for too long.
It also stained my tongue blue, so I don't appreciate that a whole lot.
Faygo enjoyers; what's your favorite flavor in their impressive arsenal? Which ones should I be hunting down?
I never wish to drink more soda than this. This is 7.5 ounces. I donāt need 12. Donāt even get me started on the 16 ounce bottles. This is all I desire to consume within a 24 hour period.
I feel like thereās such pressure for creatives of all types to āmake a name for themselvesā, constantly be promoting and using all the right hashtags. Who cares? What if you just wanna make paintings for fun without monetary gain or fame in mind? What if you wanna make youtube videos just as a personal diary instead of becoming a ācontent creatorā or āinfluencerā? What if you just enjoy making logos instead of wanting to be a career freelance designer who spends every waking moment keeping up to date on design trends? Maybe your goal is to make money and become popular for your art, and thatās great, go for it! But I think itās just as valid to enjoy art for arts sake, and not feel a need to worry about posting it consistently and appeasing your followers.
