Underrated as a TV show because of their bubblegum pop image. Surreal and stupid, but insanely entertaining. The series doesn’t really fall into a steady, consistent rhythm until episode 28, but I found myself thoroughly enjoying it by episode 3. But there‘s no real point in making a serious review about such a silly, superficial show—but it was meant to be entertaining, which it does well enough.

(first 3 seasons only) Genuinely fantastic show with iconic humor and life lessons along the way One of those pieces of media that can be enjoyed by all ages and many different audiences That stuff about "watching it will make your kid dumber" is nonsense though 10/10, I might be glazing

Top commenter describes it as "like a show put together by patients in a mental hospital"! Unwind with the sweeties is a 90s public access show about an odd dead eyed couple in colorful ski-mask looking puppetheads surrounded by an assortment of odd knick knacks. They refer to eachother and the audience as sweeties, chat, play with objects, make faces and sing songs to eachother 🍬
Nothing particularly horrible ever happens aside from some slight bleeding, screaming and weird dialogue but it undulates perfectly in the territory of absurd, sweet, relaxing and unnerving. It was ahead of its time and would 100% be a cult hit show on Adult Swim if it was made today.

Honestly, as a fellow person who's going through a lot right now, what keeps me sane is self-reassurance and affirmations. It's a learned behavior, and I understand a lot is easier said than done. But ultimately you will always have yourself, so you need to be patient and kind to your mind. Treat yourself as you would a good friend or family member. Again, it's easier said than done, but practice makes perfect, I promise you that. Take it one day at a time. Believe that everything happens for a reason. Even if things look bleak, a door always closes for another to open. If you feel isolated, finding someone you trust and reaching out to them for consolation can be cathartic, whether it be a human or a pet. If all else fails, Lexapro is pretty damn good, too.
