I literally can’t recommend this series enough!! It’s a sci-fi/necromancy series with a sapphic subplot, and the world building is actually phenomenal! So complex and detailed in every chapter 😭❤️ the second book is a space opera and is my favorite

If we were villains: it’s one of my new favs by ML Rios! It’s about a group of Shakespeare scholars that go to school in this prestigious university in BFE. They are doing a production of a play when someone turns up dead with no suspect. It’s super thrilling and an amazing use of shakespeare’s text to tie the story together. 100% recommend if ur into horror/murder mystery!
Crowns of Nyaxia: This is a series by carissa broadbent that (currently) spans 2 main books as well as a couple spinoff books. The two main books are some of my faves in the fantasy genre. it’s hunger games with vampires! there’s amazing fight scenes, gore, poetry, and a little smut if you’re into that. I read both of these books this summer and this is the first time that i’ve read a spinoff in a series bc i loved the characters that much.
enjoy expanding your horizons!!!!!

as well as the prequel Day of Fallen Night by Samantha Shannon. One of the best fantasy series I've ever read. Such a well thought out world with a deep history and different nations with unique cultures that help drive the story in an interesting way. Plus women are the powerful main characters!! I just love it so so much!!

I somehow managed to thrift the most fascinating tape yesterday!! I bought it because the cover seemed whimsical, and listening to it for the first time was a TRIP! It was released in 1989, and is a genre of music called “filk“. Apparently filk/filking has been a nerd thing for a while, and it’s basically sci-fi/fantasy folk music! Check it out!
