For the Californians I can offer https://calscape.org/. If you just look up "[location] native plant society" that should lead you in the right direction. I just love learning about the land I'm on and having a neat list of plants adapted to and thriving in the area, maybe you do too.

NATIVE PLANTS

I put a bunch of perennial seedlings in the ground last week and then we ended up getting a couple inches of snow and I was so sad thinking they’d be goners - but I checked on them today and they’re completely fine!! Picking plants that are adapted to your environment will never steer you wrong <3
