Can't recommend them enough, they're popular for a reason! The song I linked came out almost 24 years ago, but it still sounds new and like a classic at the same time. Plus, the music video utilizes their performance on Family Feud lol.
not sure if its ACTUALLY my favorite, but this is always the first thing that pops into my head. SHOCKINGLY great live performance from blink, tom's guitar work on this one is incredible, especially without having another guitarist to back him up, mark's vocals are on point, and travis fucking EXPLODES. so dynamic, so powerful, the peak of their "emo" era and definitely helped kickstart my love for the cure / songwriting / music in general at a young age.
this is one of my all-time favourites... and i refuse to believe that "songs for the general public" is 5 years old already!!! a perfect glam rock track/album honestly so so fun to belt along too!! the lemon twigs are so underrated and their sonic evolution and dabbling into many different defining 60s/70s genres with such mastery is so satisfying.... the d'addario brothers are so talented and you should listen to their father's old stuff too!!
Honestly, as a fellow person who's going through a lot right now, what keeps me sane is self-reassurance and affirmations. It's a learned behavior, and I understand a lot is easier said than done. But ultimately you will always have yourself, so you need to be patient and kind to your mind. Treat yourself as you would a good friend or family member. Again, it's easier said than done, but practice makes perfect, I promise you that. Take it one day at a time. Believe that everything happens for a reason. Even if things look bleak, a door always closes for another to open. If you feel isolated, finding someone you trust and reaching out to them for consolation can be cathartic, whether it be a human or a pet. If all else fails, Lexapro is pretty damn good, too.
