I specifically like this segment where Eno basically says his lack of knowing how to play instruments helps him be more creative than people that have that skill. As a writer with zero letters behind their name it give me hope man. I’m just always kinda going with the flow and doing my thing.

A soulful celebration of things that are widely disdained and feared. The unknown, being lost, solitude, wanting, etc.. Feels like a warm wash over you that’s also energizing. A bit Rilke coded! Genre wise it’s a blend of memoir, philosophy, natural lore, cultural history, and art criticism.
Changed my yung life for sure. And inspired the fourth issue of my magazine =]

I read and stared at every page of this book in the first few days I lived in the new little home-behind-my-studio, a very emotionally intense time. I had been a long time fan of the interdisciplinary design studio, Bless — wore their clothes, coveted their objects —  without really understanding the scope of what they do. I think this happens with all of us artists who don’t fit cleanly into a category —  it’s a lot to expect people to understand every nuance of your intentions. But a book can do it; I really got it. The book set the tone for how I was living and thinking in this new space and this new chapter of my life — which I am thinking might be the whole second half until the end.

I think in my experience on a more emotional/personal level, for every new person or new life experience I gain, it reminds me of my older sister who passed away a few years ago. Like, when someone laughs so wholeheartedly and the way their eyes squint slightly at the same time, or even to how someone would gush over their favorite celebrities, or their new obsessions on tiktok and IG, I see bits and pieces of her in them. Some days are a bit bittersweet, but on other days it almost feels like a breath of fresh air. Like, even in the ways I reminisce on her and the memories we shared both good and bad, no matter the time and death between us, it feels like she's there sometimes saying "Hi" in her own way.
I like to think of it as a small balm that helps relive and heal the inevitable grief that follows the Hello's, good bye's, or even the simplest passing glances of someone/something(s) that reminds me of her.

I've been burning more and more music into cd's lately and been enjoining the experience of physical media. My mom used to have a bunch of CD's and cassettes when I was a kid and have honestly been getting tired of paying a monthly subscription to music apps. I got a decent portable CD player on Amazon for like $20 and thrifted a bunch of blank CD's and a CD case at my local Goodwill.

Genuinely I'd probably pay off my school debt which thankfully isn't TOO high but other than that probably help my mama pay off her bills and medical shit and get my siblings a few nice gifts that they'll prolly like.
