Idk what they’re called but the vlogs where a person doesn’t talk or do a bunch of exposition, they just record things they see from their POV of a place, splice the clips together, and maybe add captions. Usually with no music. What is this genre called? I love them. Very relaxing.
@JUNIPERBURNS that was one of the most beautiful things i’ve ever seen, i can’t believe i’ve never heard of this series before. such a beautiful yet tragic look at humanity
It’s difficult to write about these because I don’t really have a real name for them, but I’ve found myself seeking out these vibe videos on YouTube and Instagram. What I mean is a 30second or so video of a shirt on a chair, the wind calmly billowing the sleeves, or a shot of a boat tied to the dock, as it sways on the water. Something about these pointless little slice-of-life videos calm me and provide me with just enough dopamine to keep coming back.
Low ley relaxing vlogs without audio narration. Any comments from the creator are done through closed captions so you can kind of choose how much you want to engage with it. Lots of bookstores, tea making, and journaling
I never wish to drink more soda than this. This is 7.5 ounces. I don’t need 12. Don’t even get me started on the 16 ounce bottles. This is all I desire to consume within a 24 hour period.
I feel like there’s such pressure for creatives of all types to “make a name for themselves”, constantly be promoting and using all the right hashtags. Who cares? What if you just wanna make paintings for fun without monetary gain or fame in mind? What if you wanna make youtube videos just as a personal diary instead of becoming a “content creator” or “influencer”? What if you just enjoy making logos instead of wanting to be a career freelance designer who spends every waking moment keeping up to date on design trends? Maybe your goal is to make money and become popular for your art, and that’s great, go for it! But I think it’s just as valid to enjoy art for arts sake, and not feel a need to worry about posting it consistently and appeasing your followers.
