I've been into D&D since middle school and I have this fantasy world/campaign concept I go back to and work on sometimes when I'm stressed and need a break.
Idk if I'll ever run it in a game because it's turned into something kinda niche and overly complicated, but maybe at some point I'll just fully commit and write a story based on it haha

๐ฒKind of exciting. Running Daggerheart and there's no real setting other than fantasy where there was once old gods, now there's new gods, and there's a bunch of fanciful species of sentient people and unique backgrounds. Riding that edge of using tropes and giving them twists to help lead to a bigger story hopefully.
But that's the fun of playing a table top pen and dice game with friends right? They're collaborators. Making them part of the making of the world seems to be a good device to keep them from wanting to break it as players. Now breaking it as characters - I live for that. That yes, and BOOM
Anyway, here's the blank map I'm gonna use (even tho I got it down to a few megs it doesn't wanna post). Borrowed some bits from older Final Fantasy world maps and stuff lingering around Inkarnate. Made any game worlds you wanna share? I still need a lot of inspiration.

๐I recently started playing a dungeons & dragons campaign for the first time ever. I quickly realized once you open that door youโre there forever. Iโm entangled with my character , she has so much backstory and they live on as an extension of me! Slowly also realized my character is helping me heal some things about myself how does that even work!

๐ฒExtremely fun with the right group! I'm the game master of our main game so writing all the lore bits are the best part for me, it's one of the best ways I am able to express my creativity.

I grew up loving this movie and I rewatch it every time I'm feeling a little bit burnt out or directionless
I know the main character is only like thirteen, but the movie perfectly captures the feeling of moving out of your hometown and trying to figure out who you are and what you want to do, so it hits it even harder in your late teens/early 20s imo haha
It's also just so cozy! I love the art and music
