combining my tea ceremony and my gains 😤 coconut milk
coconut oil (2 tbsp)
matcha
collagen peptides
stevia or glycine as sweetener has about 10 grams of protein and a caffeine boost that doesn’t make you jittery :)
i am into matcha over coffee because i prefer the taste actually!!! maybe it’s an acquired one but i adore it now… as well i cannot handle the amount of caffeine in one iced latte so having a matcha latte gives me my fix without making me jittery and irate :p
very ugly picture (sorry) but this is my fav way to drink matcha as a non-expert 🫣 i love adding two teaspoons of honey and like 5 pumps of vanilla to my usual matcha latte w/ oat milk … it tastes so good still trying to adjust my ratio tbh but i made one for my bf recently and he gave it a 10/10 ^__^
its not rocket science but…i like to think i have this perfected
-good quality matcha (i like ippodo or akira)
-sift! matcha into small glass, and whisk with hot water
-pour oat or almond milk in separate glass, matcha on top
-**splash of vanilla syrup
-whisk all together, add ice, and BOOM :)
I make a digital collage at the end of each month to show what I was up to, it’s a great creative outlet and gives me time to reflect on all the good things happening in life. Here’s some pieces of some past collages :)
A few years back Gabes Torres (@ gabestorres on Insta, she is an amazing writer, organizer, and careworker, go give her a follow/support her work if you can!) posted these incredible affirmations she wrote on Instagram and I used to say them every morning. I recently went back to doing it. They really ground me in the work that I do every day and help me dream about a new world. - “May I love in ways that devastatingly disrupt organized state violence.”
- “May I hope in ways that stand in direct and fervent opposition against white cis hetero patriarchy.”
- “May I rest and play in ways that trouble and tremble the forces and figures that exploit and capitalize on the fear of lack.”
- “May I create and strategize in ways that destroy pipelines [I also add “and prisons”], the legacy of the rich and of landlords, and the passive illusion that we don’t have what it takes to do so.”
- “May I write, sing, speak—communicate in ways that invite you to become a student of a new world—where we count on each other for safety, resources, accountability. Where all are free.”
