The Kid LAROI is a Los Angeles-based singer, songwriter, rapper, and, in his own words, a “world traveler” and “really chill leisure guy.” I became a big fan after his 11x Platinum hit “Stay” featuring Justin Bieber. Since its 2021 release, he’s dropped his debut studio album, headlined two global tours, released (imo) the 2024 song of the summer, and continued to crush it on all fronts. He tells us he’s dropping new music all summer and working on what he calls his best album yet. In the meantime, check out his latest single, “HOW DOES IT FEEL?” It’s out now, with a music video featuring Perfectly Imperfect alumna Talia Ryder. Lucky for us, The Kid LAROI’s here to tell us what he’s been into.

Mashed Potatoes

I think that there’s nothing more beautiful than when mashed potatoes are so soft and creamy. I have, however, had bad mashed potatoes before, and I would not recommend that. I think Tender Greens does a really good job. Really nice consistency, and always feels like there’s love put in them. I also like when mashed potatoes are slightly buttery. I know that a potato is looked at as a vegetable, and enjoyed with meals, but the perfect mashed potatoes could even serve as a dessert. Sorry, I don’t make the rules.

Jet Ski

I think I first found my love for jet skis when I was in mykonos. I almost had a really bad accident.. But there was something about the thrill of zooming fast on water that I really enjoyed. I always feel 100% present when I’m on a jet ski, and that’s maybe what I enjoy most about it. I’ve never overthought once on a jet ski.

I drink multiple of these before every show. Very much needed for touring. Wouldn’t be able to tour without it.

Still learning how to play. I’d like to say I’m pretty good though. One of my favorite leisure activities.
