My parents and their friends bought me every educational PC game they could find and there were so many I loved but the Nancy Drew series is closest to my heart… for girls who aren’t afraid of a mouse 🄹 i loved going through everybody’s stuff and getting into their business and exploring these beautiful thoughtfully designed environments. I fell off with the newer ones but I played pretty much all of them. Iconic theme music and soundtrack… so cozy and atmospheric and fun but also scary sometimes! The first one I ever played was Message in a Haunted Mansion when I was super little and listening to the theme music as I explored the haunted house scared me so much I cried 😭

I mean if you get it you get it and if you don’t, start with Treasure in the Royal Tower and thank me later šŸ’›

Completely obsessed with the book series (the original and girl detective series), the Emma Roberts’ movie, the Nancy Drew: Detective show from the 1930s, and the computer games. I had a kit with a notebook, pen, magnifying glass. Truly thought I would be a private eye.

i started hand-poke tattooing full-time in october after starting in 2020 when i realized literally anything can be a tattoo, and i cannot recommend dipping your toe into the culture and community of diy tattooing enough. the friends i’ve made who also love off-beat designs and scrappy, fun tattoos are pushing boundaries on what tattoos can be, and i am so incredibly grateful to have these people in my life. i have yet to step foot in a traditional tattoo shop and i thank god for that (love trad style, hate the largely macho culture). i’ll try to narrow down my recs to 5 within brooklyn: @stabs_bylili @julessportif @5_htpblanketsong @coolfriendtattoos.png @dastardly_child (and myself i guess lol @hidden_object__), but please just look for yourself, there are so many cool people doing cool things

young hugh grant and peter capaldi star in this weird ass late 80s british movie based on a 1911 novel by bram stoker (also wrote dracula) in which an archeologist (capaldi) discovers the skeleton of a giant worm creature which is featured in the town’s mythology. while investigating some local disappearances it becomes apparent that the ancient worm might be to blame and that a mysterious lady might be summoning it with virgin sacrifices. crazy cool early green screen,Ā  awesome costumes, low quality creatures and acting, what’s not to love?

i highly recommend: Ā ā€œthe cameraman’s revengeā€ (1912), la petite fille et son chat (1899), and the disturbing story of the dancing pig (1907).these videos project me back to another time and make me realize just how similar we are to past generations, yet so different. plots and gimmicks are intergenerational, styles are not. i recommend watching while a little high and with an open mind.
