DERELICT メガタワー by deathsdynamicshroud.wmv is still so fucking good. i think the album was made before one of these three bald/balding white guys who use non-latin-alphabet languages as an aesthetic decided he wanted to sing on everything with his bland voice that is sonically insulting to the rich timbral and textural soundworld the group has created. i subscribed to the dds NUWRLD mixtape club and listened through every song he sings on and i prefer the plunderphonic vocals every single time. his vocal technique is awesome and he can create a super clean sound with incredibly consistent pitch that sounds like there is no autotune applied(?) but it doesnt add anything to the music and is so fucking boring. no emotion or flair in the vocals due to the style. it is completely mismatched and should be utilised in a different soundworld, maybe he can join a choir because his voice would be perfect for a very technically skilled choir that does challenging repertoire. I know i sound like a hater but im actually a truther. i want this guy to stop adding these vocals to the tracks please stop its not good the plunderphonics were way better someones gotta say it. at least get your voice to recreate the vapourwave by recording it with -12 formant or “gender” as some plug-ins/hardware call it. ive talked to many DDS fans in Sydney and they all agree with me. I must share this message with the world.

The mysterious online entity known only as “DJ Wallh4x” released this project on Club Cringe back in 2021. Every moment scratches every fold of your brain. Although the samples on the album range from cute video game references to church hymn vibes, there’s an undeniable evilness in every track. I listened to the whole album in the shower the other morning and had such a glorious day after. Favorite tracks “BMORA CLUB”, “Buy Mode”, “Crazy Hand”.

plunderphonics is such a brilliant genre of electronic music. sampling taken to its limit. from DDS’s 2014 album Seawrld, this song combines Blow Me (One Last Kiss) by P!nk and By This River by Brian Eno. how do you even think to combine these things and why does it work so well? i first heard this song as the end credits music to an indie vaporwave game called Broken Reality. really fell in love with it but didn’t look into the samples. the other day im watching Y Tu Mama Tambien and i hear By This River. i immediately pause the movie, play all three songs, and am mind blown. musicians are so talented. big fan. love you.
