Maury was Jim Croceâs writing partner and playing companion up and until 1973 when both Jim and Maury would sadly pass in plane crash departing one of their last stops on a run of tour dates. Maury was 24 years old at the time of the crash, him and Jim had written records together in the past yea, prior to teaming up with Jim, He had released the Gingerbreadd Album at age 21 and itâs insane. My Favorite Tracks are âOne Last Chanceâ & âRocky Mountainsâ but tbh theyâre all sick there is even a track titled Mister Bainbridge. I was fortunate enough to get myself a vinyl copy of the original capital release a few months back and cherish it.

I never see anyone talking about my king Jim Croce iâve loved him ever since i waslittle and heâs still prob my favortie artist of all time. Super cool folk dude from the 60s he passed away in a plane crash which pushed him into the mainstream but i never met someone my age who likes him like i do. My favorite song is speedball tucker but i recommend listening to âyou donât mess around with Jimâ or âtime in a bottleâ or âhard times be overâ (which is a fire song by him and his wife Ingrid Croce)

The Stonesâ âWild Horsesâ and âDead Flowersâ were no doubt influenced by Gram hanging around at Nellcote.
And his solo work (especially with Emmylou Harris); âGrievous Angelâ is a masterpiece.
We probably donât have a Nudie Suit cult, âFar Away Eyesâ or alt-country without Gram.
Gone way too soon at the age of 26.Â

yes everybody knows how to take home the country roads, but i was raised on this manâs catalog and this is where the heat is. we always had a couple johnny d CDs in the car, so nothing feels right on a road trip until i hear thank god iâm a country boy :) also the plane crash that he died in happened in monterey, so the last time my dad and i drove highway 1 we played this for a bit of an in memoriam moment. rip to a real one

đ„ŠRight now iâm pacing around my kitchen head banging to incubus embarking on a fruit and vegetable power eating circuit. Iâm taking straight up frozen broccoli and doing sets of 10x florets like itâs chin-ups or something.. switching of itâs 10 x Brussels sprouts.. I can barley even taste what iâm eating.. in between, I'm drinking cups filled with frozen cherries, blueberries, raspberries etc (taste like candy) ⊠sure i enjoy the popular.. casual.. communal.. ritualistic.. aspectâs of preparation dining and what not.. but i think for even just 20 min out of your day itâs important enough to give an approach like this a try.. and i think thereâs something to standing and moving while chewing and digesting that dials in your metabolic rate.. because before you say it, yeah.. i know about smoothies
