An absolutely bonkers sample library collection thatās been used by Trent Reznor of Nine Inch Nails, notably on The Downward Spiral album, for the Silent Hill OSTās and even in Mario 64, and some Zelda games; yeah, wild. Featuring, and I quote āsounds of carnageā ācosmic warpageā and āsurprise chainsawsā - this iconic sample library is still available to purchase on rarefactionās actual website (www.rarefaction.com) if youāre a music producer looking to utilize it. Theres a listening link at the top to check it out. I like to just throw this on when Iām painting sometimes, to set the mood and channel some chaos.
been my ride or die pocket synth for going on 10 years. really versatile and durable, you can get some good deals on used ones too now that the OP Field is out. has a very digital sound to it but iāve used it in plenty of songs and it sounds great in the mix. played live with it for a bit too when I was doing shows.
was also gifted the EP-133 (K.O. II) for christmas and liking it so far, havenāt gotten too into the sampling functionality but been enjoying the workflow and the built in sounds are nice. not sure if that oneās still on back order but itās a very reasonable price point for TE.
