Texting in the bubble is too much pressure! The iMessage interface is not conducive to creativity or expression, and I need a blank canvas to fill with my feelings, carefully constructed around the precise rhythmic momentum I’m looking to get across, conveying both pretense and intimacy. And then of course you must space them out into paragraphs and send them slowly to simulate texting in real time 🙈🙈🙈
by which I mean rambling on and on, saying the entirety of what you’ve got to say even if it makes you self conscious to see your own words surrounded by all these pithy messages liberally sprinkled with emojis and abbreviations. I’m not a digital native and I am not pretending to be one I don’t mean the thing where you write a whole greeting and sign off at the end altho that’s cute too
The key to all closed doors, in friendship, love, and career stuff. it’s also actually fun to just meet someone new and ask them about themselves…. I’ve found that people are much more open about themselves in a coffee talk setting than in other places - learn about what people care about!!!!
It’s loud and it hurts my ears! All you people who are too cool and stoic to plug your ears will have tinnitus in no time soon. I love to hear the world clearly and I like the act of an understated type of kindness towards oneself that confronts a slow resignation into urban malaiseÂ
