last year i felt from the bart (sf subway) stairs and sprained both my ankles. a woman next to me was sprinting because a train was coming and i went along. it was not even my train. i was carrying a bag with lunch, carrot soup in a glass container. it splashed all over the floor, big orange splatter, very dramatic. after a year my ankles are still swollen and i canât wear the friendship anklet my best friend got us. my point being, rushing is evil and never really worth it.
Why does this happen virtually every time I go anywhere? And a lot of the times these are actual new Yorkers, not just tourists. Move the fuck down into the train and donât just congregate with 20 other people by the door when youâre not getting off the train! It baffles me that people lack even this amount of common sense and is a sure fire way to get me ranting (is this why Larry moved to LA?).
Nothing annoys me more about the American culture than the lack of enthusiasm. If I invite you to go somewhere and your answer is âsureâ or âwhy notâ, Iâm taking it back. I do not wanna be surrounded by indifferent people. Itâs unworthy.
