I studied for (and recieved) the NYC food handlers license last summer and I have lived in constant fear of botulism since. Yesterday my friend said he ate mac and cheese that had been sitting out for 2 days after āreheatingā it in the sun. Iām jealous of his blissful ignorance.
my power went out for 32 hours and now that my power is back on I had to cook everything in my fridge bc of food safety anxiety. (if you work in a kitchen you get it)
but I love having to throw something together!! I did a za'tar veg bake with brie and asparagus puff pastry bites and it fucked.

normally im a stickler for turning pot handles inwards and making sure knives are always rested in a safe area. but yesterday i got lax and smoked and drank a bit before cooking. ended up dropping a knife (point-down) on my foot. stay safe yall!
