NOT a big non fiction reader but I will always pick up something that catches my eye (donβt judge a book by its cover, but also like sometimes do). Crying in H Mart - Michelle Zauner (Japanese Breakfast) made me ugly cry at work. honorable mentions:

Tuesdays With Morrie - Mitch Albom
In the Dream House - Carmen Maria Machado
Down the Drain - Julia Fox
Cultish - Amanda Montell

Sweet Trip - You Will Never Know Why
Burial - Untrue
Mister Lies - Shadow
Basecamp - In Stone
Corbin - Mourn
Gigi Masin - Wind
Some off the dome, varied in genre:
Martyr! by Kaveh Akbar β fiction but definitely inspired by the author's life, about a Iranian poet grappling with death and its meaning
Someone Who Isn't Me by Geoff Rickly β another fiction-but-not from the lead singer of Thursday as he struggles with drug addiction. The book takes place mostly in his mind as he goes on a healing/therapeutic rip with psychedelics.
Burnout by Dr. Emily Nagoski β nonfiction, but really helped me sort out some of my relationship to stress in society
Who is Wellness For by Fariha RΓ³isΓn β talk about emotional self-reflection...another non-fiction, but a GREAT way to reflect if you're ready for some heavy and light
Good luck and welcome back to the library!
I do not need a new wardrobe, packing cubes, new toiletry bag, etc. I have everything I need. Reminding myself of this in the heat of the moment feels like coming down from a frenzy I never wanted to have in the first place.
Prosciutto, salami, etc. started in a cold pan and left to crisp and render their fat. They shrink up and become crispy and delicate and cheek-puckering in their salinity. Highly recommend accompanying with toasted bread and an over easy egg fried in the oils in the pan.
