Ceramic pans are unfortunately not very long lasting, once the coating is damaged you can’t really fix it. Most of these pans also lose their nonstick qualities after a while.
I suggest investing in a carbon steel or cast iron pan, which can be re-seasoned if damaged. Or stainless steel which is pretty indestructible as far as I can tell. These are lifelong pans!
Multiple reasons to visit NGA, but the free screenings are among the top for me. Thought provoking programming that is usually tied in some way to ongoing exhibitions. I don’t watch trailers so I love to go in there without any expectations. Shout out to the lush red velvet seating - so cozy.
really the rec is for whatever local video store is in ur area (nyc people sound off i guess). ANYWHOOO i've been a member for minute now and the catalogue is so much larger than any streaming site and i get to go talk to the lovely staff and we exchange our love for the different movies we're watching, akin to the library/local bookstore. the digital ephemera lacks that human touch.
This is specifically for NYC people. In Ridgewood Queens there is a hole in the wall high quality chocolate shop.
It’s run by an eccentric and amazing man named Constantine and his wife. He will talk your ear off for a half an hour about “the benefits” of chocolate and how it’s a panacea for pretty much everything. How big chocolate gives away most of the cocoa butter to the cosmetic industry. He’ll also talk to you about how he asks ChatGPT about chocolate and it’s wrong a lot of the time.
You’ll then buy a bar even though it’s small and $10. But you will go home and have a little piece after dinner and never taste chocolate the same way again…
If we click on a rec or ask to comment, like I'm doing now, it would be great that when I go back, it doesn't send me back to the top of the page but rather to the place where I was scrolling previously.
