Don’t follow it! Nothing to make you feel self assured like being advised to do something you know is pointless or wrong

remember that most people here, and on the rest of the internet, know just as little as you. my time on instagram has shown me that likes and followers do not dictate good taste. my time on reddit has shown me that upvotes do not dictate good taste. internet recommendations might be a good starting point, but they are kind of a crutch. Don't rely too much on recommendations, don't treat them as gospel, don't use them to replace your own taste. develop good taste for yourself. it makes life tastier.

We analyze our mistakes and accidents but successful people typically don’t know what they did that made them successful (or it was money/connections). 2. If my brain says something rude about me, something that would make me want to punch someone who said it about my friend, I throw it right out. Not even I get to be rude to me.

re:stacks off bon iver’s For Emma- such a heavy album, but this song marks a final change in theme before the record wraps up: leaves listeners with a twinge of hope after so much grief. i’ve carried that hope with me for years now. if you listen closely, you can hear justin vernon set down his guitar and walk out of the studio as the album ends. a perfect tender moment also f mono 😔☝️
