- Ability to paste text into the all-caps rec title
- Better prompt for Asks because a lot of users do not get it. (Alternatively have a checkbox for "Rhetorical Ask" and people can only reply with comments as opposed to recs.)
- Ability to add a photo to a comment
- Do some unsupervised machine learning on existing emoji/rec pairs to come up with other categories and/or extended emoji clusters for the Browse page, if any
- Ability to edit a comment
- The bullet-point hyphens in this post are rendered as black on mobile despite the main font being white
- more themes with dark text on light backgrounds, a girl has astigmatism and can hardly read the light text on dark backgrounds very well (it gives astigmatism people migraines if we try for too long without glasses)
- editing, sometimes error pages will constantly pop up if i try and edit a post
- blank prompts, after i submit an ask or a rec, a blank ask/rec page will pop up
- the first line in bios are cut out, no matter the length of the bio
- grouping system, if there is a way to group your recs into specific folder themes
- archiving, being able to archive old recs would be good!
- being able to click on the āwhatās hotā posts to expand the whole post and see what is written
- being able to click on an image and and expand the image/zoom in on the image thank you :)
The app is glitchy, but is fun so far! Here are my asks: right now:
- working in text hyperlinks.
- for some reason the underline text formatting doesnāt work properly for me.
- the text box glitches a lot. I can only see 3-4 lines at a time and scrolling is difficult. Thereās this weird white line that pops up over my keyboard and blocks my view. typing in general is really frustrating!
- the app is eating my battery, worse than video apps I use.
-would love to be able to add a password so I donāt have to sign in with a link every time . For some reason I do not have this option.
- being able to group your pinned posts into different collections, like a highlight reel or playlist. looking down the line:
- maybe expanding the ability to tag ? it could get tricky, and I donāt think they should be expansive like they are on tumblr. but itād be nice to click and follow tags for specific groups. maybe model tags off newspaper or magazine sections. style, lifestyle, news, music, film, misc online categories, etc. Having clearly defined categories, which are outlined in a how to use guide that pops up when you join, may help.
- adding a TOS condition to prevent far right extremists and bigots from joining. you should absolutely consider someoneās offline speech before they join the online community youāre building. No thanks:
-re-Rec with commentary: I donāt actually think this feature is necessary. I donāt want to see the same post again and again because a bunch of people replied with a gif or image. If I want to see or look for discourse or commentary, I will go to the comments section. i donāt think this feature is necessary or useful for this app.
- commenting on an ask rather than a whole rec replying (optional)
- more posts on the whatās hot / whatās rising ā and more of a cycle through the posts throughout the day
- maybe a news feature? this is the only social media app it would be cool to see a ābreaking newsā tidbit with just the highlights of whatās going on in the world
- (day two of asking for light coloured backgrounds with dark text šš»šš») idk thanks for listening
Because of the extensive tradition of pirate radio in the UK (from Radio Caroline on down), London probably has the most insane landscape of 24/7 internet radio in the world. I've tried to rank these in terms of approximate popularity ranging from NTS (as mentioned) on down to purely DIY weekend-only amateur collectives like LWSTD. If you don't know the stations in your city, just have a quick google and do some Instagram "Following" list exploration and it should be pretty easy to find more (e.g. in Amsterdam check out Echobox, Radio Tempo Não PÔra, RRFM, etc...) - NTS (Dalston) https://www.nts.live/
- Rinse FM (Hoxton) https://rinse.fm/
- Worldwide FM (Islington) https://worldwidefm.net/ (currently mostly on ice but great archive)
- Balaami (Peckham) https://www.balamii.com/
- Soho Radio https://sohoradiolondon.com/
- Reprezent Radio (Brixton) https://www.reprezentradio.org.uk/
- Netil Radio (Hackney) https://www.netilradio.com/
- Subtle Radio (Hackney) https://www.subtleradio.com/
- Voices Radio (Kings Cross) https://www.voicesradio.co.uk/
- Aaja (Deptford) https://aajamusic.com/radio/

Finally saw this for the first time (on 35mm thxx Prince Charles Cinema) and wow. Jonathan Glazer and co-writer Jean-Claude Carrière spending all of pre-production re-writing the script without informing the studio⦠DP Harris Savides pushing the boundaries of underexposed film and getting the craziest deepest browns and purples out of Kodak stock⦠Alexandre Desplat starting with what seems like a very polite classical score and then gradually bringing in heavy synth bass⦠and of course Nicole Kidman throwing herself headlong into an insane role (and apparently bullying the producers for more $$$ when they finished under budget)
