I use YouTube. Start with 1 min. Then try just making it a daily habit. Then progress to 3,5 mins, etc. you can also do walking meditations or meditations while drinking tea (of course the Brit suggests this) if sitting/laying down is not your thing.
imo an easy way to get into meditating without jumping headfirst into the whole sitting still thing (very hard for me). and a nice way to get outside! i like looking them up on youtube or using headspace
I have been in the most consistent meditation habit since getting the Calm app because it really takes a lot of the thinking out of it. HOWEVER, there are tons of free resources on youtube and guided meditations released as podcasts. I feel like a big thing for me has been having a good mix of actual meditation and activities that put me in to a sort of similar headspace. A big one for me is going on walks and bird watching. I also find it easiest anytime I can sort of restrict myself in a way (ie im in the bath tub, wearing an eye mask, laying under a weighted blanket) to help keep myself in it.
Yes, start small.
Find a guided meditation or some music or just quiet.
Sit up or lay down. Just be comfortable.
The goal isnโt to get rid of your thoughts, but to simply observe them and let them pass.
Itโs okay if you fall asleep.
Still recovering from being gagged by surprise appearances by both Ross Lynch AND Charli XCX at the Troye Sivan concert last night This is your permission babes ๐๐๐
Watched this almost a month ago and still canโt get it out of my head The innovative cinematography The moral ambiguity and psychological themes The social commentary on mob mentality, justice, and the human condition so so good
Because you get to experience surreal things like seeing Rauw Alejandro serving cold drinks on a Monday afternoon. This was last week. in London. probably the hottest Iโve ever been (and I was born in Africa), and its not because of the heatwave and no aircon inside ๐
