i know jk rowling suxxxxx and i was never a harry potter kid but the cormoran strike murder mystery series she writes under the name robert galbraith is the dumbest funnest most satisfying type of trash read for me and im re-reading them because im in a sad place mentally and i am comforted by the fantasy of likeable people solving crimes and getting justice.

these epic mysteries will sustain you through the fall and probably beyond — mystery, drama, romance, there's a lot in each one by Robert Galbraith (aka JK Rowling) first in the series: The Cuckoo's Calling

don't have time but where there's a will, there's a way so i will read the harry potter series once again... i've always felt that the perfect time to read/watch the series is between october-december so i'll be reading philosopher's stone and chamber of secrets this month. i think jk rowling is a pretty mediocre writer and horrible person. however, i grew up with these books/films, and they’re very dear to me (unfortunately i didn’t choose my hyperfixations). i would personally advise anyone who hasn’t read/watched them to not buy them (or if you do, find used ones) and instead download the ebook/watch illegally :)

fuck the haters; if it’s popular it’s probably because it’s entertaining and fun! i will never let a condescending man tell me to read some boring melancholy self-important white man instead! read the faerie smut! read the sexy dragon rider book! do not apologize for it! side note on this is that i devoured fourth wing, the sequel, and ACOTAR in like a week. even when they are annoying, they’re way more fun than when i was trying to read fuckin Camus or DFW
