Idk if other people get ads on IG for this, but I get them a lot. I mentioned that they looked cool to my girlfriend and she got one for me for my birthday a couple years back. I use it a lot and it's amazing. Basically like free acupuncture. At first hard to get used to because it's pretty uncomfortable/painful, but then it gets so relaxing. Totally worth the money.

Haven’t you always wanted to rest on a bed of nails? Well.. consider the Shakti Mat. I bought mine very early in the pandemme because I was desperate for a product to change my life; and not being the most active guy, I was relieved all you had to do was lay on top of it and breathe. After 20 minutes you feel amazing. The first time is a little scary because the spikes are pretty damn sharp and it’s an entirely new sensation for most. I’ve turned to goo and fallen asleep on the mat many times and had to peel it out of my back once awake. The mat helps me sleep, calms me down, and loosens up my chronically stiff back. I use it on the couch, the floor, in the bed, and even stand on it for a couple minutes barefoot. Pretty sure it’s not supposed to be sexual in any way but you do have to submit to the pain which can potentially be arousing for some of you…I’m not saying it is for me but that it might be for you…… Anywho, I just copped the neck pillow version which I’m sooo excited for- I’m tired of my neck hurting and feeling like it’s made of wood! For the last 18 months I have consistently used the Shakti; not something I can say about any other wellness product I’ve purchased. The company donates 10% of the profits to charity but like honestly who gives a shit lol. Oh, and don’t buy knock offs! They don’t work as well. The pointy things aren’t sharp enough!

I’m almost sure I’ve rec’d this acupressure mat before, but it deserves a second rec if so. I use it every day atm. It’s often the only time I am free from pain when I’m on it, and it instantly soothes my whole body and mind. I’ve fallen asleep on it many times. I have M.E. and ADHD which is a shit combo as I need to rest a lot but my body and mind won’t let me, but 20 minutes on this guy and I’m soothed enough to either get back up and chill out, or nap for a while with a calmer system. I really love it and I can’t recommend it highly enough.

Was skeptical about this one but I’ve used it for a couple days now and I’m obsessed?? Pulls me out of dissociation and back into my body. Loosens the tension in my shoulders, softens my headaches. I am a convert to the spikes.

This is specifically for NYC people. In Ridgewood Queens there is a hole in the wall high quality chocolate shop. It’s run by an eccentric and amazing man named Constantine and his wife. He will talk your ear off for a half an hour about ā€œthe benefitsā€ of chocolate and how it’s a panacea for pretty much everything. How big chocolate gives away most of the cocoa butter to the cosmetic industry. He’ll also talk to you about how he asks ChatGPT about chocolate and it’s wrong a lot of the time. You’ll then buy a bar even though it’s small and $10. But you will go home and have a little piece after dinner and never taste chocolate the same way again…

I did it this morning, meditated, read a short story, watched the sun rise, and then got to work!

If we click on a rec or ask to comment, like I'm doing now, it would be great that when I go back, it doesn't send me back to the top of the page but rather to the place where I was scrolling previously.
