I saw it by myself, early in the afternoon, on the day it came out. I felt compelled to experience it again immediately, so I went back a few hours later to see it with a friend.
Random day off so I decided to catch an early movie. Yo I love this. All to myself and Iâm kinda half awake. Doing it sober lil weird tho. Only other time I did this was seeing Câmon Câmon smacked outta my mind and I cried most of it. Good times.
Screaming crying and throwing up alone in a theater at 5pm on a rainy Tuesday! Then got to cry again when I explained the plot to my roommate! Great film!
The undisputed king of deadpan comedy in cinema. Every movie is a darkly hilarious little gem and they usually clock in at less than 80 min so theyâre easy to watch. Theyâre also surprisingly sweet most of the timeâif youâre into that sort of thingâand he was just nominated for an Academy Awardâif youâre into that sort of thingâfor Fallen Leaves. It's great.
If anyoneâs wondering, my personal favorite is Ariel.
A mind-bending, soul-stirring banger from power duo Powell & Pressburger. Its unique narrative structure and the fearless creativity with which they bring it to life at 24 frames a second is a little bit astounding.
