- long rise with crotch curve cut on bias so they sit nicely on hips with some breathing room below. prob about 14ā
- long zip fly
- slightly big in waist, just enough to wear comfortably with or without belt & have room for fluctuating weight changes throughout day
- pretty deep front pockets. coin pocket doesnāt matter. all front pockets fully riveted
- deep-ish back pockets
- WIDE cut especially in the thigh, should not be feeling fabric there anywhere near my skin
- slightly longer length, enough to poddle on shoes some but not have crazy heelbite
- outseam curved a bit especially around the hips to have some nice drape & shape
- some taper with about a 10-10.5ā leg opening
- double roll 0.5ā hem, nothing too thick but substantial enough to sit on shoes with some weight
- yokes, centre seam, and inseams all properly flat felled, idc if itās by single needle or by fell machine just donāt fuck around overlocking & staystitching
- more rigid denim, 12-16oz, that will break in with time is preferred, but exceptions can be made for a special denim. our legacy made vast cuts in āforever blueā denim that was this really flowy chinese fabric treated to never fade, that was sick thank god i know how to make these (pictured) because if i didnāt iād be pissed off constantly by almost all jeans. only off the rack ones i like for myself are fadepants or acne 2023, and i donāt like acneās denim quality. our legacy is good for people who care less than me but want a good wide straight cut thatās comfy and wearable for anyone at all ages, the vast cut and third cut are what iād look at there
marianoleonczik i had to learn how so i wouldnāt just get annoyed that i couldnāt find the exact synthesis of everything i wanted tbh. iām like that with all clothes though, next thing i want to do badly is mix a B-15 collar with an MA-1 body and put the front hand warmer pockets behind the insulation so theyāre actually warm. also twin internal breast pockets for sunglasses and the like
also yeah i got my 66 year old dad in third cuts and theyāre the only pants he wears since 2-3 years now. not extreme enough in width or rise for me but for less opinionated/fashion poisoned people theyāre the best jeans out there for sure
shegoestoanotherschool (1) very interested to see a draft of the jacket, especially if itās got that authentic crop (2) I think thatās where OL sits, amongst some other brands that make denim for the guy who cares about clothing but isnāt necessarily going to experiment with his wardrobe too much (ex: me). I think think the third cut is timeless and flattering on all body types and thatās a huge win for the brand.
marianoleonczik will post when i get around to it. will probably not be until late this year/next year with the weather and my currently limited knowledge
i agree. in general our legacy to me is just the best brand for both the less opinionated and more opinionated consumer, their fabric sourcing is incredible and even though some of their stuff is a bit out there its all really well cut in a way that will flatter more often than not. can really build oneās confidence to wear wilder shit, itās almost like they hold your hand into stronger waters there. huge fan of what they do iād love to work for them one day
i am so thankful we killed it dead. i love menās carpenter jeans aka pocket city! i have a pair with 9 pockets and if iām having an active day out theyāre so great. also, wearing a bootcut or bell bottom in high school and middle school was grounds for being burned at the stake but they are SO flattering and will take a casual look up a notch. i also am a sucker for any (well made) patchwork jean. in essence, loose and pockety for the winā¦loose enough to keep you cool in warmer months but thick enough to keep your legs warm in the winter. oh and preferably a lower rise as iām 70% leg and high waists make me feel like that one family guy still (see attached)
these are one of my favorite pairs of jeans. if you know me you know iām almost always in a baggy jean and iām a denim enthusiast. iāve gotten multiple of my friends to wear canadian tuxedos. itās funny that theyāre called that since denim is such an american thing to me for some reason. iām wearing them today! i thrifted them at a goodwill probably like 2 years ago now and i had to cut the pants because they were too long (i always have this problem). 40inch jeans may seem crazy to you but i used to have a skater boyfriend in high school that would always wear 40sā¦so he definitely influenced me in that way. i used to think he was crazy for that because like all skater boys he didnāt have much meat on his bones but now i understand. the pockets in these are HUGE too if youāre a woman you know how big of a deal that is. my girlies better go get themselves a pair after this!
leaves you susceptible to dating someone for too long because they play a role rather than it being about who they are. if you go in open to every situation, it will play out as its supposed to naturally (sometimes with a little nudge)
go drink some right now itās good for your body and skin and has magical healing properties when consumed at the right times. currently itās helping me beat a hangover
