After years of loving the Talking Heads I saw that David was touring again for a new solo album. I had admittedly heard very little of his solo stuff but decided to go. If nothing else it was a chance to see a living legend. This was the American Utopia tour (before it had been on Broadway or HBO). It was the most incredible display of joy, dancing, and choreograph set to the sounds of Talking Heads, David‘s solo material and beyond (A very powerful Janelle Monae cover).

I bought this cd a while back. Being someone who casually listened to Talking Heads but never took the time to listen to David‘s solo work, this entire album was a surprise. The best way I can describe it is those pre-911 utopian scholastic books. Get what I mean? - Davyn

bless him - a) the restored version of talking heads‘ stop making sense is fantastic b) his book „how music works“ is very insightful for everyone who struggles as a creative within the capitalist system and is craving newness and innovation his points on how modes of production shape the output are eye-opening

Black Friday might have passed but the hell of Christmas shopping is just beginning for retail staff. A little patience could go a long way this December. They’re people too remember. Just try to be cool yeah?

Arguably her best album. PJ is at her rawest and most frantic here. The album sounds insane in the best way like a grunge buzzsaw. R.I.P Steve Albini
