my full legal name is Jack, unlike the johns and james who go by jack. i love that everyone just calls me jack, no nicknames or alternate spellings or anything.
Okay my real name is Jack but I’m known in some circles as Velvet and at work my name is Vulture… I think more people should have more names we contain multitudes etc
I’m trans so…there’s that (I hate my birth name), and when i first came out I didn’t have a name I wanted yet so my friends started calling me a nickname based on a joke and I’ve been called it by most people ever since but I really don’t like it and don’t think it fits me at all ✨John✨ is such a middle aged man name but I feel like people have been calling me it for too long for me to change it again. August is my name on a lot of socials I just need to get the courage to get people to call me it irl
My last name is really long and often kind of unwieldy, if I call someone on the phone, it’s guaranteed they ask to spell it, so I drop the suffix and that makes things easier. That, and it’s my handle/name used for writing elsewhere.
