I remember listening to Frou Frou on my Pandora radio mixes when I was younger, but I was too young to understand how iconic their music is. I happened to run across these songs again by chance and I’m so glad I did. I finally feel like I understand this kind of sound. It’s so good

played this for my family because i thought i had heard this growing up, none of them knew it. did i hear this for the first time when spotify put it in a playlist for me? surely not. it’s so hard to know whether or not you’ve found music organically these days or just through instagram reels, especially when you can’t trust your own memory 😞😞

This song always used to play at my single-mother’s workplace, where I spent a lot of time as a wee gal. This song used to make me transcend and still does tbh. I feel so cool when I’m listening, like I’m walking Rick Owens during FFW. I spent a lot of time not knowing this song because it would make me physically ill when I heard it, the amount of nostalgia it would elicit in me. Life is too short to be weighed down by an appreciation of the past, look at it lovingly and with hope for an even better future.

listening to this at age 12 rewired my brain and totally expanded my understanding of what music could be. didn't necessarily get it at that age but i felt it! & i still love it endlessly

I love this band‘s discography so far. Can’t wait for the new record to come out! It’s experimental a lot of the time but it works. Crazy to think this band started in my hometown and then moved to Philly!

Shameless self promo. Been working on tracking my next release which is an LP that should be (hopefully) out before the end of this year. If you like dream pop, post-punk revival, jangle pop, math rock, and garage rock, this might be ur cup of tea. A good chunk of the music was written when I was in middle school/high school except for my EP Never Better, which was written when I was a freshman/sophmore in college with my old bandmates (my first collaborative release!). I honestly cringe listening to my old music now but I guess that just means I’ve become a better songwriter. The new songs sound so different and I can’t wait to share them. In the meantime, I’d check out Too Close for Comfort, D-emo, and Slow Days.

Absolutely loved everything about this deadpan comedy/music series. Definitely is going to be a new comfort tv show for me from here on out. The topics they cover in the show to the setting in New York City is absolutely perfect and still super relevant to this day
