Unconventionally not intended as one, but as capitalism has started to fade out the true definitions of free third places, I care to add that Wawa with seating outside, especially in smaller/ southern areas, act as a third place.
My friends and I often have to make third places out of what isn’t. I’ve studied in Chili’s. Country (Florida) girls make do!

I knew I’d eventually make an ode to Chili’s on here but I guess it’s also an ode to good old fashioned casual dining. I could go to the best restaurant in the world, but I’d never forget about Chili’s because Chili’s was there for me first. It wasn’t Nobu, it wasn’t Fogo de Chao, it was Chili’s!
Birthdays, graduations, weddings, ANY of life’s milestones can be celebrated in a Chili’s and TRUST that they’ll accommodate. I know what I’m gonna get, I know I’m gonna be full, and I know I’m gonna get drunk all for under $50. A lot has changed in the past 10 years but Chili’s has NOT! 😌

I love going to either Waffle House or Ihop late at night with my friends. It’s so much fun to sit in the corner and watch all of the people walk in the door at 3 in the morning. We then order overpriced pancakes with the very little money we have as we continue to laugh in the corner for hours. The environment and the late hours makes it the perfect favorite third place!

☕Biiiiig fan of having a Place you always go, a Place where you’ve tried most things on the menu, a Place where you can recognize all the workers and almost have your punchcard fully filled out. A Place where you have a favorite booth and least favorite stool because it wobbles a little.
if my life were a sitcom and they could only build so many sets, this Place would definitely be one of them

I get crushes on people easy.
I sort of imagine a life with someone only after thinking about them a couple times. right now I have about four crushes, but I think it’s my want of a relationship, so so bad.
Equally I do not admit feelings for people. I would rather encourage someone to get in a relationship with someone else than admit my feelings, it’s like tending to an overgrown garden.
