I think this might be my favorite adaptation of Sherlock Holmes. I like that they show that his gift comes with a lot of downsides as well. Johnny Lee Miller plays his part perfectly, and Lucy Liu does such a phenomenal job of being a warm and supportive Watson, while also not only existing as a support to Sherlock. The way their relationship ebbs and flows throughout the series without ever making it romantic is really refreshing. They make the supporting characters dynamic and likable as well. You can see why it did so well when it was released.

Just finished watching it, don't know how I found it. It's got my crushes - Lucy Liu and Cillian Murphy, and their chemistry is off the charts.

finally got around to watching the original season last week and it's basically ALL I've been thinking about since. Incredible piece of television. Perfect casting. No one could make dialogue like that sing like McConaughey, and some of the greatest expressions ever recorded were made by Harrelson for this show. I now have the overwhelming urge to go uncover a deep decades-old conspiracy. Let me know if anyone wants to form an uneasy but undeniably effective partnership that lasts longer than any romantic entanglement.

Humans have always danced. It is part of who we are, yet we have been conditioned to be self conscious, to think that we do not move our bodies good enough. Dancing is beyond judgement. Dancing is not a skill, it is our soul moving through our bodies, expressed in movement. Dancing is healing. Dancing is bodily autonomy. Dancing is FUN! Any feeling you are feeling can be moved through with dance yet even alone, you fear looking foolish. Kill the judge in your mind, shut the fuck up, and MOVE 🌊
