Actually so easy and so fun. Buy some CDs from the thrift store and rip the songs onto your computer (no idea what I am going to do with the rips though)
You could get blank cds and make mixtapes for whoever you may be inclined to share music with.. itโs nice to get a link to a playlist but nowhere near as intimate as getting a cd someone made for you :-)
Physical media babey!!!
It's very easy, you just need a disc drive and some blank discs, which they do still make and sell!! Then you just plug that into your computer and youtube to mp3 any songs you want into the discs, it's a thing of beauty, I'm bringing back making mixtapes for people instead of just playlists xoxo
you'r playlists will outlive you and this is a way to keep the songs you love alive! did it for the first time last night and its super simple, just get a cd drive and blank CD-Rs and then go to town on windows media player with mp3 files and click burn and BOOM cd with like 25 songs YOU want to listen to. awesome investment that should not be overlooked!!
the music streaming economy is soulless and unromantic and we all hate it. physical media is a great but i don't have space for records and a turntable, so as an alternative i've built a modest CD collection that has turned into my pride and joy. thrift stores and records stores (and ebay lol) have some amazing picks and i've found most of mine for $3-8. my next project is to digitize the collection, maybe after that make a server for 'em, who knows...
Sourdough is sooo much work. but making your own bread means you get to eat bread. try this recipe instead of making a sourdough started so you can eat bread faster: Ingredients:
3 cups of flour
2tsp dry active yeast
2tsp salt
1.5cups of warm water Baking:
-put water and yeast in a bowl and let activate for 5 minutes
-add flour and salt, and mix until you have a tacky ball of dough
-cover and let rest for 2-3 hours, stretch & fold at half way mark if you wish
-preheat oven to 450ยฐf 10 minutes before your dough is ready
-put dough on floured surface and stretch and fold mulitple times
-after folding, tuck bread under itself to form a tight ball
-put in lined dutch oven (or any heavy duty vessel that has a lid or just in the oven maybe I haven't tried it), and score dough
-bake for 30 minutes or so with lid on
-bake uncovered for 12 minutes
-wait to cut it open until its cooled for 30 minutes
-eat bread!
