I always seem to dream of dark paths and or rooms. Often times they turn into nightmares that wake me up fairly violently.
There is often someone or something just out of my sight that throughout my dream that I can't get away from.
I think my most recent was I was in a dark room, there was something in the corner, there were no doors or windows, the room was on fire but it was like if you were looking at the light emitted from flames from a different rooms.
Typing this out makes me realize how much more of nightmares they are than dreams, but sometimes they don't end so bad, kinda unresolved and fades into a nothingness.

I have two reoccurring dreams, both where I'm trapped in unless "rooms".
In one of them I'm trapped in a white void filled with invisible objects that no matter how much I try, I cannot crush. I have woken up sick to my stomach a multitude of times from this. I remember oe specific instance was whenever I was having fever dreams in the back of my mom's car and was going in and out of consciousness, repeatedly having this dream over and over. It got to the point where I would repeatedly wake up screaming and sweating and ended up hurling in my mom's backseat.
My second dream is a room that consists of a neverending wall of moving gears. I cannot move and can only listen and watch the gears operate. I've woken up in a cold sweat every time I've had this dream.
I have no clue what that says about my psyche, but I'm choosing the path of "ignorance is bliss".

I dont usually remember dreams but about a month ago when I was first going back 2 sleeping in my vehicle or in a hammock camping, every night I would have a vivid dream of the location id fallen asleep at, where some stranger would come find me (just a fear of mine manifesting).
But!!!! There was this one where I was sleepin in my hammock on the side of a lake, and the person showed up n brought me this like, box thing (inside the box wasnt important, just trash), but it was made out of leathery flesh, and when they gave it to me I realized it had been mine before, because the flesh had tattoos I had done on it, ooooooooooo...
Pretty weird, anyways as a little kid whenever I got sick I would have reoccurring nightmares where I was #planking suspended on a single long-ass needle pricking one of my vertebrae, surrounded by a white empty void. it would happen as sleep paralysis sometimes where I would b lying down awake but couldn't move cause I was stuck on da needle. Idk I blame autism

- lions and tigers roaming the streets and nobody notices or cares but me
- I’m at a zoo combination aquarium combination museum at night and the animals get loose
- desolate rundown street usually in Mexico. This actually just symbolizes my hometown probably
- giant mall
- Kohl’s style low-midrange department store
- used to be labyrinthine school building but now it’s a labyrinthine yuppie apartment building because I live in one
- house that I inherited from my grandparents and I discover a secret basement with a ton of different rooms where nothing has been touched for 50 years and is covered in dust but the bathroom is perfectly clean. in the most recent one of these I dreamed it was actually a nice normal split level house and I walked through it turning off all of the lights before going to bed
- disturbing extreme violence or paranormal happenings. For example a couple of nights ago I dreamt that i heard the front door to my apartment open, heard footsteps coming to my bedroom, and saw a figure slowly walking towards me in the dark. I couldn’t make out its face but I could feel that it was staring at me and smiling. It climbed on top of me, straddling me, and I couldn’t move or call out for help. I could see in a sliver of moonlight coming through the window that it had long blonde hair covering its face. I was able to grab its wrist which was so skinny and pale…

Find happiness in the little things. Bask in the sun rise, take a moment to people watch grocery shopping or a cafe. Go on drives to nowhere in particular with your favorite playlist blasting. Read plays to a stuff animal audience and really dramatize the characters.

We have one dying strip mall in this town and my friends and I just go there to wonder the few open stores left. We don't by anything we just peruse the places, make small talk with the shop keepers, sit and chat about the closed down shops on the benches.
I also frequent the antique stores, and just look at the history thats brought in. Sometimes the store keeper drops by while you look and offer facts on some of the items.
They get me out of the house and keep my mind off work and they're sometimes more accommodating than a coffee shop.
