I like a fancy italian restaurant, so fancy all the waiters know is fine dining and breathing. Some of my favorites in new york city are La Mela in little italy, DeFrancesco in Williamsburg, Arora in williamsburg, and Beauty and Essex in les. Baller

when it comes to an Italian restaurant you really have to aim for middle-of-the-road. it canât be too nice. you want BIG plates of pasta and parm dust on everything and unlimited warm but not house-made bread. a waitress with really long coffin nails. photos of famous people on the walls and a group of questionable well-dressed men smoking outside. thatâs where the real Italians go and thatâs where youâll have the best dining experience

If you have some disposable income, or something to celebrate, or, like me, you enjoy spending money on good food, Rezdora at 27 East 20th Street in Manhattan is a must. It received Three Stars from The New York Times and was opened by Chef Stefano Secchi. Perhaps his name isnât familiar but if youâve watched Chefâs Table (count that as another massive recommendation from me), episode one features Massimo Battura and his world renowned restaurant, Osteria Francescana--of which Secchi is an alum. Dishes you canât miss: Gnocco Fritto, Anolini di Parma and âCow Grazing in Emilia Romagna.â Save room for the Tiramisu or Torta dâOliva.
