Seeing your “to do’s” events or reminders as a physical part of your space is a good method to get to it.

I use a whiteboard on my fridge to keep lists of tasks I need to do both short term and long term. I use a calendar with little stickers to mark when I do the things I say I'm going to do. There's a reason we learn to be rewarded with stickers as kids: it works and is satisfying.

I've tried using todo lists (physical and apps) but, as soon as they're not in front of my face, I forget about them. Lately I've been putting Everything in my calendar app. I have a widget on my phone home screen that tells me what's next so I always see it and regularly tap it to see what's on the day and the rest of the week. It's not just appointments. I'm also putting tasks and reminders on there which are typically "todo" list things. Centralized, just a glance away. It's also becoming an aid for journaling? I'm putting in shit just to remind myself what I've done socially and privately throughout the week.

Hello stationary nerds! Being 30 means I spent my school years using a notebook planner for assignments and reminders but since college I've been using apps for calendars+tasks. But last week the revelation came out of nowhere (that's a lie, my wife suggested I needed something more tangible to organize my chaotic brain) and I've never felt more relieved since I got this whiteboard. She specifically recommended this one which allows me to have long-term projects/reminders on the right and pin cute polaroids in the cork section below. BONUS: Tiny tab post-its & ultra-fine coloured markers. Tabs for categorizing and be able to move things around without having to erase something constantly. Ultra-fine markers to write more things in small spaces. 0.7mm is what I'm using. Have fun!!

on which leverage did you allow yourself to believe I owed you to be the same as you always knew me. Interesting how the selfishness unfolds like the knots on my back you got used to seeing curved. Isn’t anymore.

Really ? You can’t do this alone ? You need support ? You need comfort ? You need help ? Company ? You feel guilty for being needy ? Is that how you treat yourself ? What a foolish belief. Did you just scrutinize your need for another ? Is that fair ? To anyone ? Ever ?
